This page is a general whereabout site of a long established community consisting of SEVENTEEN female counterpart roleplayers or known as “FSVT” (other: FCP!SVT, FCP!SEVENTEEN). Please take note that this carrd is for fictional roleplaying purposes only, and this should be shared ONLY for the same purpose.

[1] CHARACTER ANALYSIS

We are formerly known as Fem!SVT, or Female!SEVENTEEN roleplayers, where we aim to portray a genderbent version of SEVENTEEN members, portraying them as females on the alternate universe. However, we are previously enlightened that genderbend roleplaying itself can appear inappropriate (other: transphobic), especially if your typist doing is not a trans themselves. In line with the said concern, we decided to adapt a further change and remove any kinds of genderbent related contents from our activities. An OP that previously enlightened us as to why genderbent can be transphobic, also advised that doing counterparts alone is way better than the other. As a result, it leads us to focus from our characters being SEVENTEEN’s fictional female counterparts from the alternate universe instead.

[2] ‘FEMALE COUNTERPART’

As per the definition, ”counterpart”, is an element that is relatively similar to a certain thing— which supports the concept of our character being A FEMALE HERSELF (not a genderbent version in any way)— a female character (purely a work of fiction) who appears to be SIMILAR and RESEMBLED to a particular SEVENTEEN member. Our fixed faceclaims illustrate our still physical appearance, and they are wisely chosen according to its resemblance on a certain male artist aforementioned. Do take note that our female counterpart appearance deal with us being resembled to a SEVENTEEN member at all times, so we usually base our character backgrounds and characteristics to SEVENTEEN as well.

Following our avoidance to any kinds of genderbent related works, remarks and activities, we have refrained ourselves from (1) Editing SEVENTEEN members’ photos making them look like a female, putting them long hairs, heavy make ups, sexy bodies, and the likes; (2) Doing in-character works where we post according to SEVENTEEN’s real activities as an idol while being a female counterpart roleplayer, and/or; (3) Highkey addressing ourselves as “genderbent roleplayer”, “fem![svt member’s name]”, or “female![seventeen member’s name]”, as the fem terms itself are being more used upon genderbent roleplaying, fanarts and fanfictions. For alternatives, our majority prefers to address themselves as female counterpart (FCP, by making it short). Also, we more consider SEVENTEEN as our male counterpart (other: male parallel).

[3] ‘FSVT COMMUNITY’

We are NOT a nation, a sisterhood, an alternate universe group neither an own character group. We function as roleplayers DIFFERENTLY, whereas we do have our own AUGs, though some are individuals who roleplay independently. We tend to keep in touch as one community in line with our most important rule “one faceclaim policy”, where no any FCP!SEVENTEEN roleplayers should have the same faceclaim as another. Of course, to make this possible without no any misunderstandings within us, we have our own ethics to follow inside our announcement group.

A LIST OF LINKS TO READ & CHECK

[1] “genderbending edits create the idea that physical traits and gender are equal when they are not. sex =/= gender,”

[2] “Genderbending’ inherently implies that all characters are cisgender by default, and erases any possibility of these characters being trans.,”

[3] “People may hold transphobic beliefs if they were taught them by other people, including parents and families who encourage negative ideas about trans people and who hold strict beliefs about traditional gender roles,”

[4] “They have to conform to the conventionally feminine image, which is harmful and offensive.,”

[5] “Stop arguing with trans people whether genderbends are transphobic or not, especially if you are cis”

[6] Counterparts, as suggested.

[7] “Female counterparts are female themselves that are resembled to SEVENTEEN without the need of genderbending the said male idols,”

[8] “Labelling something as fem! still counts as genderbending and can be offensive, fetishizing, and derogatory when used wrong.”

[9] From an old FSVT roleplayer: fem started with the fanarts and stuff

[10] Transphobic and cisexist language such as gender!character, or bio gender!character

[11] The use of fem label can be an insult to a man’s lack of manhood and masculinity. The term may also mean a short for FEMALE

[12] Counterpart being defined as (1) one of two corresponding copies of a legal instrument, (2) a thing that fits another perfectly, (3) one remarkably similar to another (4) one having the same function or characteristics as another.

(Please be reminded that we do not intend to intervene those who are active genderbend roleplayers outside FSVT.)

[5] OUTLINE & SUMMARY

  • We are formerly known as Fem!SVT or Female!SEVENTEEN roleplayers where we portray SEVENTEEN as females in the alternate universe, which is technically a genderbent kind of concept.

  • As we previously enlightened that gendebend roleplaying can appear inappropriate and transphobic, we adapted several changes. A trans OP who thoroughly explained us why genderbending can be transphobic has suggested us to do counterparts instead.

  • Genderbend roleplaying is when you portray someone in a completely different gender in the alternate universe, commonly being done as when you edit a man’s face in a woman’s body and vice versa— or as using the terms, fem! or masc!.

  • Female counterpart roleplaying is portraying a [fictional] character, a FEMALE HERSELF, not a genderbent version, who appears to be highly similar, resembled, and in parallel to a certain male artist. There is NO NEED of any character genderbending since the supposed female counterpart is ALREADY a female herself.

  • We are NOT a nation, an AUG, or even OCG as we do have our own groups and activities. FSVT Community was established to monitor our number and our faceclaims, to follow the long implemented “One faceclaim policy” rule.
